MORIKI ENGINEERING / QUICK2D VIEWER

Privacy Policy

Drawings stay on your device. Ad traffic is explained separately.

How Quick2D Viewer stores drawings and comments, handles ad SDK traffic, and lets you delete data or contact us.

1. Operator and scope

Moriki Engineering (“we”) provides Quick2D Viewer for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains how information is handled in Quick2D Viewer.

2. Drawings, comments and recent files

Selected PDF, DXF and DWG files are copied to the app’s private Application Support/ImportedDocuments directory for reading and display. The original file is not modified. Recent-file records include the file name, internal document identifier, stored name and last-opened date.

Comment text, numbers, pages and drawing coordinates are saved locally in document-specific JSON files. Preferences such as the interface theme are also stored locally. Drawing parsing and comment processing take place on the device; the app does not upload them to our servers or an external CAD conversion service. The app has no account registration or custom cloud synchronization feature.

3. PDF export and sharing

Annotated PDFs are generated on the device and stored temporarily before being passed to the iOS share sheet. They include the drawing, numbered pins and a list of comment text and drawing pages. The app attempts to remove the temporary export directory when the share sheet closes. Temporary files may remain after an abnormal exit.

You choose destinations such as Save to Files, email or AirDrop. Data passed to a destination is subject to that service’s policies. Original PDF encryption, signatures and password protection are not guaranteed to carry over to exports. Check the content and recipient before sharing.

4. External communication and libraries

The app does not pass drawing content, comments or their file URLs to ad requests. Google SDKs do communicate for advertising and privacy choices, so the app is not described as entirely offline. File providers such as iCloud Drive and destinations you choose for sharing may also communicate.

DWG processing uses ACadSharp and related components with the .NET runtime; PDFs use Apple PDFKit. Drawing processing is not delegated to an external conversion server. No separate behavioral analytics or crash-reporting SDK such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics is integrated. This is distinct from diagnostics performed by advertising SDKs.

5. Advertising and Google services

The app integrates Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) 13.11.0 and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) 3.1.0. Advertising is an SDK integration, not just a reserved display area. The distribution Release configuration uses production advertising.

Google states that its ad SDK may handle IP-derived approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad views and interactions, usage, and crash or performance diagnostics for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention and improvement. UMP also handles information needed to present and remember privacy choices. Processing varies with region, choices and ad delivery.

The app does not request ATT authorization or implement a request for IDFA access. It disables advertising personalization processing before SDK initialization. This does not mean that all SDK identifiers or data collection are disabled.

6. Your choices and permissions

For production ads, UMP refreshes consent information and presents a privacy message when required. Ad requests are gated by UMP’s permission state. Where required, the home screen shows “Ad privacy settings” so you can reopen your choices. Available options also depend on the message configuration in Google’s services.

The app reads files you select through the OS file picker. It has no feature requesting access to your camera, microphone, photo library, contacts or device location. Opening an advertisement or policy link takes you to services with their own information practices.

7. Retention and deletion

In-app drawing copies, comments and recent-file records remain until you delete them. Use “Edit” or a recent item’s menu, choose “Remove from recents” and confirm to delete that copy and its comments. The original file is not deleted. If deletion reports an error, in-app data may remain. Deleting the app also removes its local app data. Export comments to PDF first if you need to keep them.

Imported drawing copies are marked as excluded from backup. This does not remove entire device backups containing comments, recent-file records or preferences. Manage originals, previously shared or externally saved PDFs, and OS backups at their respective locations.

See Google’s policies for retention and deletion of data processed by Google. We do not provide an in-app function to immediately erase all data held by Google. Support emails are retained for handling the inquiry and necessary records, then deleted when no longer needed. Contact us below about the applicable retention period or deletion of your inquiry.

8. Security

Drawings and comments are handled in the OS app sandbox. Imported drawing copies use file protection that permits access after the device’s first unlock. Comments are written atomically; unreadable or unknown comment formats disable editing to prevent overwriting. These measures do not guarantee complete protection or recovery. You should also manage device and backup security.
