Quick3D Viewer Privacy Policy

日本語

Last updated: October 10, 2026

The developer of Quick3D Viewer (formerly QuickSTEP Viewer, the “App”) provides this policy to explain how information is handled in the iOS App.

1. About the App

Quick3D Viewer lets you view and inspect CAD and 3D models on iPhone. Version 1.1 accepts STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, GLB/glTF, and USDZ/USD files. Supported attributes, materials, units, and measurement features vary by format. The App does not support every feature of these formats.

2. CAD and 3D Model Files

Files you open are processed on your device to provide 3D viewing, shape inspection, and available measurement features. The App’s file loading process has no function that uploads, sends, or stores model contents on the developer’s servers.

For STEP and IGES analysis, the App creates a working copy in its temporary storage and attempts to delete it when processing ends. It does not modify the original file. Cleanup may not complete if, for example, the App is forcibly terminated.

Accessing files selected from iCloud Drive or another File Provider may involve downloading, synchronization, or other processing by the operating system or file service. That processing is subject to the relevant service’s terms and privacy policy.

3. Recent Files and Settings

To let you reopen files, the App stores up to 10 recent file references in its local settings storage. These references include the file name, an ID for the history entry, and bookmark information used to restore file access (such as security-scoped bookmark access references). The App does not copy and retain file contents for the recent files history.

History persists when you close and restart the App. You can remove individual entries from the home screen or recent files list. Removing an entry does not delete the original file. Moving or deleting a file, or changing access permissions, may prevent it from being reopened from history.

Settings such as the background theme are also stored on your device. The App has no function that sends these history entries or settings to the developer’s servers. Operating system backup and restoration follow your device settings and the operating system’s behavior.

4. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), provided by Google LLC, to display advertising.

Google or its partners may collect or process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device identifiers (such as advertising identifiers), ad impressions and interactions, app usage and interactions, and diagnostics such as crash and performance data. These may be used for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, service improvement, and related purposes. Actual handling varies with the SDK, consent and permission status, region, and advertising service settings.

For information about Google’s practices, see:

The App uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to check and update advertising consent status and to show a consent form when required. Available choices may vary by region, applicable law, and Google service settings.

When UMP requires access to privacy choices, a “Privacy Settings” button appears on the home screen so you can change those choices. This is separate from viewing this privacy policy.

If UMP permits ad requests and your ATT decision is not yet determined, the App requests Apple’s ATT permission prompt. It starts the advertising SDK after your response. If an ATT decision has already been recorded, the App does not request the same permission prompt again.

If you do not grant ATT permission, ads that do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) may still be displayed. Denying ATT permission does not stop all communication or data processing by advertising services. You can change ATT settings in iOS Settings.

6. Personal Information Collected by the Developer

The App does not require an account. The developer does not collect names, addresses, telephone numbers, or other directly identifying information to provide basic CAD and 3D model viewing. However, the third-party services described above may collect or process information.

If you contact the developer by email, your email address and message are used to respond to your inquiry.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Information handled by these services is subject to their providers’ privacy policies and terms of service.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised as laws, App features, or third-party services change. Important changes will be announced on this page, within the App, or through another appropriate method.
